Important Dates:
 



Salesperson applicants must:

  • Be at least 19 years old
  • Apply for license within 18 months of completing the required 40 hours education
  • Apply for license within six months of passing the examination
  • By affiliation, work with a licensed Alaska real estate broker
  • Pay the appropriate licensing fee

Broker applicants must:

  • Apply for license within 18 months of completing the required broker training
  • Apply for a license within 6 months of passing the examination
  • Have been licensed as a salesperson, with real estate as a principal occupation for 24 consecutive monts within the past 36 months immediately preceding applicaiton

Post Licensing and Continuing Education:

All new licensees are required to complete 30 hours of post licensing education within 12 months of initial licensure.  This is in addition to the 20 hours of continuing education that must be completed every 2 years in order to renew a license.

Basic Reqirements To Join GFBR:

  • Valid real estate (or appraiser) license and actively engaged in real estate profession
  • Completed GFBR Membership Application (Click Here to Download)
  • A place of business within GFBR's jurisdiction
  • No record of official sanctions involving professional conduct
  • No recent or pending bankruptcy
  • Complete the GFBR Indoctrination Class within 90 days of date of applicaiton
  • Signify intention to abide by GFBR Bylaws, Rules and Regulations
  • Signify intention to abide by the NAR Code of Ethics
